Day 1Welcome to Uganda the Pearl of Africa

Welcome to Uganda! Upon landing at Entebbe International Airport, our attentive representative will greet you warmly. From there, we’ll escort you to a cozy hotel located conveniently near Entebbe for relaxation and an overnight stay. Depending on your arrival time, you might have a chance to explore Entebbe or handle any last-minute shopping for items you need for your upcoming journey. We’re here to ensure your safari starts off comfortably and smoothly.

Day 2Go Rhino Tracking, Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Depart early for Murchison Falls National Park. En route, make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a cornerstone of Uganda’s white rhinoceros reintroduction program. Begin your walking safari with a unique guided rhino tracking experience on foot alongside experienced rangers. This intimate encounter allows you to learn about these magnificent creatures firsthand and gain a deeper understanding of crucial conservation efforts.

Continuing your journey, arrive at Murchison Falls National Park in the late afternoon. As evening descends, proceed to your exclusive private bush camp nestled in the park’s northern sector. Savor a breathtaking sunset with a refreshing sundowner drink, marking the perfect prelude to your walking safari. Nyamsika Camp, your base for the walking safari, offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the wilderness, surrounded by untouched beauty and devoid of other tourist presence. Day 3Unveiling Murchison's Wonders in a Morning Safari Walk Adventure

Awaken to a symphony of wilderness sounds as you savor an early breakfast in Murchison Falls National Park. Like the original classic explorers of the wild savannahs, today take on a captivating 2.5-3.5 hour morning walking safari towards Te Okot. Traverse the park’s diverse terrain, featuring open plains, gentle hills, and hidden gullies. Keep an eye out for the telltale Borassus Palms, a favorite food source for African elephants, one of the Big 5 you might encounter. The dry season offers prime opportunities to witness majestic herds of elephants and a variety of antelope species. After a delectable midday lunch, take a siesta, allowing yourself to truly immerse in the tranquility of the wilderness. As the afternoon unfolds, choose your next adventure: embark on a thrilling game drive or opt for a shorter, serene sunset walk lasting approximately an hour.

Day 4Discover Murchison by Foot on A Rewarding Riverine Walk

Following a fortifying breakfast, embark on a 4-5 hour guided walking safari alongside the Nyamsika Riverbed, a vital tributary feeding the mighty Nile. Don your sandals for wading through shallow, sun-warmed waters as you navigate diverse terrain. Keep your eyes peeled for an abundance of wildlife, including waterbuck, buffaloes, kobs, hartebeest, and even the occasional elephant. The observant explorer may also discover fascinating animal tracks along the way.

Culminating your riverside adventure, a waiting boat will whisk you on a scenic 2-hour journey downstream to the awe-inspiring Murchison Falls. Day 5Bush Breakfast, and Murchison Farewell As Chimpanzee Encounters Beckon

As your incredible Ugandan adventure unfolds, your final day in Murchison Falls National Park promises a delightful farewell. Start with a captivating morning walk along the Nyamsika Riverbed, culminating in a delicious bush breakfast amidst the wilderness. 

This marks the end of the your walking safari in Murchison Falls National Park. On your way out, you might choose to add a visit to the top of the mighty Murchison Falls for a final dose of awe-inspiring scenery. Then, embark on a scenic southward journey, following the majestic Great Western Rift Valley alongside the shimmering Lake Albert. As the day progresses, you’ll arrive at your comfortable lodge near Kibale National Park, ready to unwind and eagerly anticipate your upcoming chimpanzee encounter!

Day 6Track Chimpanzees in Kibale National Park, Transfer to Rwenzori Mountains

Today’s adventure takes you to Kibale National Park, fondly nicknamed the “Primate Capital” due to its staggering diversity of primates. Led by experienced trackers, embark on an exhilarating chimpanzee tracking adventure through the lush rainforest. Witnessing a habituated chimpanzee family swinging through the trees is an unforgettable experience, offering a glimpse into their fascinating social behavior. Kibale is a haven for primate enthusiasts, so keep your eyes peeled for other intriguing species like the red colobus monkey and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey. The park also boasts an impressive 370 bird species, so listen closely for their captivating melodies.

In the afternoon, you’ll transfer to Kasese, nestled at the foot of the majestic Rwenzori Mountains. This charming town will serve as your base camp as you prepare for your ascent into Africa’s third-highest range, following the legendary footsteps of explorers who conquered Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya.

Day 7Trekking to Sine Camp on A Hike Into Rwenzori's Natural Splendor

In another version of your walking safari, today you will hike in the Rwenzori Mountains. Also known as the Mountains of the Moon, the Rwenzoris are home to Africa’s third highest peak after Kilimanjaro and Mt. Kenya.

Starting off early, your hike to Sine Camp in the Rwenzori Mountains is an exhilarating journey through lush, misty landscapes and diverse ecosystems. As you ascend through dense montane forests, you’ll encounter a variety of endemic flora and fauna, including giant lobelias and colorful bird species. The trail offers stunning views of cascading waterfalls and rugged peaks, showcasing the natural beauty of Uganda’s highest mountain range. Sine Camp itself provides a serene and comfortable stopover, nestled amidst pristine surroundings and offering a tranquil setting to rest and absorb the mountain’s majestic atmosphere before continuing your trek deeper into the Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 8Trekking from Sine Camp to Mutinda Camp

The journey continues with a challenging yet scenic trek from Sine Camp to Mutinda Camp. This route winds its way through diverse landscapes, transitioning from lush bamboo zones to heather-covered slopes. Be prepared for several small climbs and descents as you traverse ridges and navigate streams. The reward for your efforts is reaching Mutinda Camp, situated at a staggering 3,688 meters. Here, you’ll be greeted by breathtaking panoramic views of the Rwenzori Mountains, a sight that will leave you breathless. Day 9Descend Through Enchanting Valleys from Mutinda Camp to Kiharo Camp

Day 10Descending from Rwenzori's Heights and Transfer to A Coffee Plantation

Today’s adventure marks the culmination of your Rwenzori conquest. Embark on a final descent from Kiharo Camp, following a path that winds through verdant valleys and offers a chance to bid farewell to the awe-inspiring mountain scenery. As you reach lower elevations, the landscape will gradually transform, leaving behind the alpine meadows for a more tropical feel. Upon reaching the park exit, a sense of accomplishment will surely wash over you as you celebrate your successful hike through this legendary mountain range.

Following your descent, you’ll be transferred to a farm nestled amidst rolling hills. Here, you’ll trade your hiking boots for a relaxing stay a local coffee farm.

Day 11From Peaks to Plantations, Relax at Rural Coffee Plantation

After completing your exhilarating hike through the Rwenzori Mountains, unwind and rejuvenate at the Clarke Farm and Coffee Estate.
