Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Uganda!
Today you will arrive at Entebbe International Airport from Maasai Mara Wildlife Reserve in Kenya. You will transfer through customs to catch a flight to Kihihi. Enjoy this incredible flight taking you low over Uganda and offering stunning views of the amazing landscapes beneath you. You will arrive in Kihihi and transfer to your safari lodge near the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. In the afternoon, you are free to spend your time at leisure, relax or perhaps take part in optional activities (at additional cost) including forest walks, birdwatching, village walks or visiting the Gorilla Research Clinic.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Today is one of the special moments in this birding tour. You will get to track the endangered mountain gorillas. We will meet at the Park Offices after breakfast for the briefing before this momentous occasion. It may take one to eight hours to go for the ultimate Uganda gorilla trekking experience, which entails wandering through the bush in pursuit of these gentle giants. You should never miss this “once in a lifetime” gorilla trekking. Although every gorilla experience is unique and has its own benefits, you are sure to love the up-close view of adults eating, grooming, and relaxing as the young playfully romp and swing from vines. After tracking transfer to Ruhija.
Day 3: Fly to Entebbe
This morning, you take your return flight back to Entebbe Airport. Take home unforgettable memories of your Uganda gorilla adventure! Once in Entebbe, depending on your travel time, you can opt for a fishing tour or an sundowner on Lake Victoria, the world's second largest freshwater body.
